All Are Welcome in God's Family

JESUS SAID, "JUST AS YOU DID IT TO ONE OF THE LEAST OF MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS, YOU DID IT TO ME."                            SAINT MATTHEW 25:40

The Parish of Saint Matthew is a sanctuary dedicated to the worship of God in which the presence of the Lord is celebrated, and a community where the Christian principles of charity, love and acceptance are practiced in full measure within, and extended to others outside.

Our purpose for existence is to witness to the fullness of the saving power of Jesus Christ, and to win souls for God's Kingdom through "THE FAITH ONCE DELIVERED TO THE SAINTS," following the ancient traditions of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church founded by our Lord Jesus Christ, and as expressed by The Episcopal Church, we strive to "CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN THE APOSTLES' DOCTRINE AND FELLOWSHIP, AND IN THE BREAKING OF BREAD AND IN PRAYERS."

From the By-Laws of Saint Matthew's Episcopal Church, San Andreas, California

GOD OF MERCY YOU CHOSE A TAX COLLECTOR, SAINT MATTHEW, TO SHARE THE DIGNITY OF THE APOSTLES.  BY HIS EXAMPLE AND PRAYERS HELP US TO FOLLOW CHRIST AND REMAIN FAITHFUL IN YOUR SERVICE,  WE ASK THIS THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, YOUR SON, WHO LIVES AND REIGNS WITH YOU AND THE HOLY SPIRIT, ONE GOD, FOREVER AND EVER.  AMEN.
